The man who will likely be the next governor of New York is going to say something soon, in broad terms, about the horrifying budget crisis he’ll stand to inherit. (“Cuomo watchers” suspect that he, like Governor Paterson, supports budget cuts, but doesn’t back borrowing billions as proposed by Lieutenant Governor Richard Ravitch.) Cuomo will “not attempt to micromanage the budget,” however, since “there can only be one governor at a time,” and besides, figuring out what should actually get cut is, you know, really hard. [NYP]
