In a recent conversation with Brooklynite Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Supreme Court justice Anthony Kennedy, a Californian, complained (light-heartedly, he says) that the lack of geographical diversity on the current bench “isn’t fair.” Ginsburg replied, as he tells it, “Oh no, we have Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. We need Manhattan.” She did not mention a need for a Staten Island justice. [HuffPo]
