The 80-year-old ABC News legend announced on her show The View today that she’s having a heart procedure performed later this week. “I’m going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve,” she said. “I thought it best not to talk about it too far in advance.” She’ll vacation for much of the summer to recover, and be, as she says, “roaring back in September.” [USAT]
