After 23 days, BP finally released a video of the smoke monster the geyser of oil that continues to devastate the Gulf of Mexico, after pressure from the White House and news organizations, which have been asking for it for weeks. What you’re seeing is actually a mixture of oil (darker) and natural gas (lighter), which is why the plume keeps changing colors like that. Maybe we’re ignorant or just cranky, but, from looking at this thing … it doesn’t really seem like it should be that difficult to plug up.
