After mounting criticism voiced by Massachusetts Representative Edward Markey that BP was hiding the true extent of the now four-week-old Gulf of Mexico oil spill, BP has given in and announced it will post a live video feed of the gushing oil well online. “Now anyone will be able to see the real-time effects the BP spill is having on our ocean,” Markey said. “This footage will aid analysis by independent scientists blocked by BP from coming to see the spill.” If you’re interested, the video should be going live late Wednesday night here, though frankly, if you’re in the mood to watch a live video feed, this one is way more likely to entertain you.
