Brooklyn postal worker Peter Ramsdal, 26, was pulled over for driving with a suspended registration recently in the Catskills. When cops, who were about the impound his car, searched his trunk, they discovered bags of “hundreds of undelivered letters.” Turns out he’d just been hoarding mail destined for homes on his Dyker Heights route. When asked why this happened, Ramsdal said: “The mail never stops. It just keeps coming and coming and COMING, there’s never a letup, it’s relentless, every day it piles up more and more and more and you’ve got to get it out but the more you get out, the more it keeps coming in, and then the barcode breaks, and then it’s Publishers Clearing House day ” Then he burst into tears.*
