Fire Engulfs Deli and Pizza Place on 14th and A

If Intel Chris had been working from home this morning, from his window he would be able to see the giant plume of smoke coming from the Stuyvesant Town Supermarket and Deli, where almost every week he goes and buys flowers to bring home to his boyfriend (even though his boyfriend claims Intel Chris is really only buying them for himself). Starting at around 11 a.m. this morning, a three-alarm fire started somewhere on the Southeast corner of 14th Street and Avenue A in the East Village. According to Gothamist, the fire has engulfed the deli and a neighboring accounting office, hair salon, and the very aptly named pizza place, Pete’s-a-Place. No one was harmed, but apparently employees at the Rainbow chain clothing store down the block are pissed. “Everything is damaged,” an assistant manager griped to DNA.info. “All the clothes is going to smell.”
