Back in January, when we first reported the Times was ready to make the move to a metered pay-wall service for its website, we knew it would be months before they started launching the program. Now Martin Nisenholtz, NYT Company’s senior vice-president of digital operations, says that they’ll be announcing the “pricing and specifics” of its online metered pay-wall model “toward the latter part of the year” at the JPMorgan Global Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference in Boston today, according to Business Insider. The paper’s staff will spend the summer “programming and developing” the technology for the pay wall, which itself is set to launch in January 2011.
