Unlike President Obama, Joe Biden, Richard Holbrooke, Karl Eikenberry, James Jones, John Kerry, and John McCain, Hillary Clinton wasn’t disparaged by Afghanistan commander Stanley McChrystal or his aides in today’s Rolling Stone article.
Only Hillary Clinton receives good reviews from McChrystal’s inner circle. “Hillary had Stan’s back during the strategic review,” says an adviser. “She said, ‘If Stan wants it, give him what he needs.’”
Should he overcome the current brouhaha, McChrystal will be a good military endorsement for Hillary if she runs for president in 2012 against President Obama, which is a distinct possibility according to Republicans taking lots of drugs.
