Iranian Government Shuts Down Factory Making Neda Memorabilia

Neda Agha-Soltan, the 26-year-old who was shot to death on film during the protests after last year’s disputed elections in Iran, is one of many people killed in that tumultuous period who were being immortalized as collectible statuettes by a factory in Iran. The government just shut the factory down, because when it couldn’t stop its people from communicating about its corruption and subsequent violent crackdown, the obvious next step was to try to make them forget it.
