Current TV reporter Laura Ling gave birth to a baby girl, Li Jefferson Ling, last night. The name is a tribute to Ling’s sister famous TV person Lisa Ling and to William Jefferson Clinton, who rescued Laura from her North Korean captivity last August. Not really sure why she didn’t just go with “Clinton” there, since Jefferson is already pretty closely associated with a different president, but maybe we’re nitpicking. [People]
