Attorneys for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie accepted an undisclosed settlement from News of the World yesterday after the British tabloid reported, last January, that the couple had met with a divorce lawyer to divide their assets, work out a custody deal, and part ways. The News story, which was circulated far and wide, was certainly not the first time a media outlet reported Brangelina to be headed for splitsville, but this settlement (which will all go to charity, natch) might actually quiet the celebrity media’s persistent, re-syndicated Brangelina breakup rumors. Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, has not yet bothered to testify, under oath, that she is not incredibly lonely.
