Harry Reid’s reelection hopes are in enough trouble as it is, so the last thing he needs is people feeling obligated to vote against him as a way to honor the last wish of a dead woman. But that’s the scenario taking shape for friends and family of Charlotte McCourt, whose obituary ran in the Las Vegas Review-Journal yesterday:
“We believe that Mom would say she was mortified to have taken a large role in the election of Harry Reid to U.S. Congress. Let the record show Charlotte was displeased with his work. Please, in lieu of flowers, vote for another more worthy candidate.”
Harry Reid has to hope that McCourt wasn’t very popular.
