Fabrice Tourre ‘Relied’ on Goldman Sachs

Fabulous Fab filed his response to the SEC complaint against him last night. It’s in pretty standard legalese and he doesn’t talk any smack talk about Goldman Sachs — the firm is paying his legal bills, after all — but we did think we caught a hint of something in the following passage:

“The purported claims against Mr. Tourre and the allegations upon which they are based are improperly vague, ambiguous and confusing, and omit critical facts. Mr. Tourre, a French citizen and engineer by training, reasonably relied on Goldman Sachs’ institutional process to ensure adequate legal review and disclosure of material information, and cannot be held liable for any alleged failings of that process.”
