When she was 20, one “Jane Doe” found herself at a St. Louis bar where Girls Gone Wild was filming. Does this mean she wanted to appear topless on video? No, it doesn’t, as evidenced by the fact that she can be heard saying, “No, no,” on tape, right before another woman pulled her top down for her, seemingly against her will. Now that Jane Doe is married with kids and a friend of her husband’s identified her in one of the videos, she tried to sue, but a Missouri jury has now rejected Doe’s claims that her reputation was unfairly damaged as a result of the experience. What thought, exactly, swayed this jury against Doe? “Through her actions, she gave implied consent,” Tim O’Brien, jury foreman, said. “She was really playing to the camera. She knew what she was doing.” Wow. And that, ladies, is why you should probably just run if you see Girls Gone Wild filming.
