Do not be swayed by their boyish smiles, their floppy hair, or the smooth promises that fall from their pillowy lips, Camden Fine, head of the Independent Community Bankers of America, told the group of 5,000 community lenders he represents, of the big banks that are trying to coerce them into helping derail financial regulation: “Do you really think Wall Street mega firms give a rat’s ass about small banks? Hell no. They only care about the credibility small banks can wield on Capitol Hill to get them out from under this rock.” [Bloomberg]
