It does not appear as though Barack Obama had to feign interest in the bright orange Ford Electric Focus he took a seat in today in Holland, Michigan. When he wasn’t being photographed in flashy cars, the president also spoke at the groundbreaking for a new factory which will manufacture batteries for electric vehicles. The automotive candy even got the president a bit nostalgic: “My first car didn’t look like these,” he said. “I wouldn’t have minded tooling around in one of these when I was 20 years old.” [The Caucus/NYT]
