While the term “oil spill” was found in 0.17 percent of all tweets at its peak on June 14, now it can only be found in .02 percent to .05 percent of all Twitter posts. Additionally, bloggers are writing about the spill less, and fewer people are searching for news relating to the oil spill online. And what has the conversation turned to? Well, among the U.S. trending topics Tuesday evening: Harry Potter character Cedric Diggory, TV guilty pleasure Pretty Little Liars, and Lindsay Lohan.
