The State Senate Democrats, who bashed former Senate majority leader Joe Bruno for spending $50,000 in taxpayer dollars on a luxury SUV, have just now bought their current conference leader, John Sampson, a luxury SUV for $49,000. In their defense, though, the eight-seat, two-and-a-half-ton, 332-horsepower 2010 Chevy Tahoe is a hybrid. [NYP]
