When Mitch McConnell, the Senate’s Republican minority leader, made the very dumb but honest and revealing remark to the National Journal that “the single most important thing [the Republicans] want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,” it was inevitable that the Democrats would try to capitalize on it. Well, here is the ad they made, which kind of wrote itself. It seems aimed more at firing up the Democratic base than anything else, with its mentions of education and green energy and health-care reform, but they could use a fired-up base right now.
