Working at JPMorgan is not for the faint of heart, the bank’s new recruitment video indicates. You need to be able to look at footage of a zone in which a natural disaster has occurred and have your first thought not be, “God, how awful, those poor people,” but, “How will this affect my bottom line?” You need to be able to have the stomach to take risks — not just with billions of dollars of other people’s capital, but to brazenly carry two lidless cups of coffee with your shoes untied. And if some goddamn birds get in your way, you cannot hesitate to stomp their feathery asses into the ground.
