At a press briefing today, Mayor Bloomberg decided to give the first question over to a “shocked” Rafael Martínez Alequín, the pesky blogger and former independent newspaper editor who’s been covering City Hall for twenty years. Rafi, as he’s known, has been so disliked by Bloomberg that he had to sue his way into getting a press pass, and even then, Bloomberg would refuse to call on him. Except for today. Nobody knows why.
