It’s Christmastime again, that wonderful time of the year traditionally marked by festive decorations and gift giving and caroling and family and togetherness and charity and vague claims that Al Qaeda is going to blow something up. This year, those terrorism threats come courtesy of some captured insurgents in Iraq.
Iraqi authorities have shared information obtained from captured insurgents who claim al Qaeda is planning suicide attacks in the United States and Europe during the Christmas holiday season, a U.S. official said Thursday.
Every year with you guys! Let us guess, there is no specific information about the threat that could be considered even somewhat useful for the general public?
Of course. Which leaves us the choice, once again, to walk around in paralyzing fear that Al Qaeda may strike anywhere at any moment, or to just go on with our lives as if we’re in no danger at all despite living in the world’s preeminent terror target. We’ll go with the latter, obviously!
