In a semi-regular Gallup poll measuring opinion of how presidents from the past 50 years handled their jobs when they were in office, only Jimmy Carter’s approval rating fell between 2006 and 2010, from 61 percent approval to 52 percent. Bill Clinton, Bush 41, and LBJ have all risen eight percentage points since 2006, while Bush 43 debuted in the poll second to last at 47 percent, which really isn’t that bad, considering that he left office not even two years ago at 34 percent.
