The latest Gallup poll shows that 67 percent of consumers don’t think advertisers should be allowed to send them ads based on what other websites they’ve previously visited. Wait, why are they asking consumers? Isn’t the whole point of behavioral targeting to secretly track all those questionable websites people visit late at night and then send them related ads as a shameful reminder of their indiscretions in the harsh light of day?
