OkCupid CEO and co-founder Sam Yagan has confirmed that the dating profile for Julian Assange unearthed this weekend is for real, telling Forbes, “Yep, we believe it to be legitimate; it would have been quite an elaborate hoax otherwise.” Facebook is already a popular evidence-gathering site for lawyers. Does that mean that Assange’s lawyers could use his OkCupid profile in the hearings against their client on Swedish sex charges? The part where he says, “Although I am pretty intellectually and physically pugnacious I am very protective of women and children,” sounds like it could work in his favor as character evidence. The parts where he bragged about his “Asian teengirl stalkers” and tested 87 percent “Slut” — eh, not so much.
