In March, an FDA panel will decide whether or not to ban menthol cigarettes. That would be a “doomsday scenario” for Lorillard, the company that makes the top-selling Newport brand of smokes. So according to the Journal, the firm’s in full-on survival mode, “buying up a host of menthol-bashing Internet domain names, including MentholKillsMinorities.com, MentholAddictsYouth.com and FDAMustBanMenthol.com.” Hopefully, Dave Chappelle’s getting involved soon, too.
