Republican Health-Care Repeal Charade Will Please Only One in Four Americans

The House of Representatives will vote this week on the hilariously named “Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act” with no expectation that it will actually pass. The bill would never get through the Senate, which is still controlled by the Democrats, or past the veto pen of President Obama. The Republicans are so certain that the vote will ultimately serve only as a symbolic protest that they have yet to create a “coherent plan” for the “replace” aspect of their “repeal and replace” mantra, the Washington Post reported Saturday. Which is all just as well, since, according to a new AP-GfK poll, only 25 26 percent of Americans favor repeal anyway.
