Taylor Momsen Blames the Media for Portraying Her Accurately

After complaining in an interview with Revolver that her stage parents ruined her life by forcing her into show business (“My parents signed me up with Ford at the age of 2 … no 2-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice”), Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen has given an interview to Kerrang in which she “sets the record straight” about what exactly she said. First of all, though she may have implied she did not have a childhood, she was in fact youngerat one point.

Maybe I didn’t have the childhood people think you should have, but I still went through the ages,” Momsen explains. “I was still a child.”

Okay, good to know.

Okay, good to know.

She goes on to apologize to her parents, who she says felt “horrible” reading the interview, for saying the things she said — or that she maybe didn’t say.

This is true. It’s also true that oftentimes, words can come out of your mouth, which is what happened in that case.
