D.A. ‘Insists’ It’s Jail Time for Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer is trying to work out a deal in the grand theft felony charges against his client for stealing a $2,500 necklace. But Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers is insisting that any plea bargain for our lady of the disappearing items include jail time. A “Lohan insider” (her dad really needs to stop giving interviews) tells Radar that Lindsay would risk trial rather than go back to jail. For now, Meyers’s refusal to back down leaves both sides at an impasse. We at Intel feel similarly divided. On the one hand, any L.A. store owner trying to go up against Linsday’s see–want–take purchasing policy is fighting a losing battle. On the other hand, if a trial means more white minidresses from the Lohan Legal Collection, we’re willing to suffer the indignities.
