Heather Mills is done with New York … real estate-wise. A source says the activist and ex-wife of Paul McCartney has just closed on the sale of her ninth-floor apartment at 173 Perry, the first of three glass-clad Richard Meier-designed condos on the West Side Highway. The asking price was $5.3 million, though the two-bedroom, two-bath is rumored to have gone for less than that, somewhere in the vicinity of $5 million. (She paid $4.9 million for it in 2008.) According to Streeteasy.com, it went into contract on December 28. It’s unclear if Mills, who was renting the apartment out, is planning to purchase another place in the city. Listing broker Toni Haber of Prudential Douglas Elliman declined to comment.
As for Nicole Kidman, who had her apartment at the adjacent 176 Perry Street available for leasing at $45,000 a month in November through Halstead Property’s Richard Orenstein it looks like she’s found a tenant as well. As of this afternoon, her three-bedroom condo was marked “rented” on Streeteasy.com. Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, are said to have bought an apartment at 200 11th Avenue aka, the Annabelle Selldorf-designed building with the much-buzzed-about sky garages.
