We missed this a couple of days ago, as it was buried in a Times CPAC roundup, beneath news that Ron Paul won the annual straw poll, with Romney coming in a close second. But Shirley Sherrod, the former Agriculture Department employee who lost her job over an edited video aired on Andrew Breitbart’s website, is suing Breitbart for damaging her reputation. She vowed to do so all the way back in July. Breitbart, for his part, says he “categorically rejects the transparent effort to chill his constitutionally protected free speech.” [NYT]
