Allied Leaders: We Won’t Stop Until Qaddafi’s Out

In a meeting in London this afternoon, leaders of the nearly 50 countries and international organizations involved with the enforced no-fly zone in Libya met to discuss goals. Though regime change was not the aim of the United Nations resolution authorizing the action, leaders “made it clear” that they would not stop the military action until Qaddafi has relinquished power. “When the fighting is over, we will need to put right the damage that Qaddafi has inflicted,” British prime minister David Cameron said. “It’s never too early to start planning coordinated action to support peace in Libya over the longer term.” [NYT]
