After Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol wrote a scathing piece about Haley Barbour’s support for cutting the Pentagon’s budget and drawing down in Afghanistan, Barbour’s son, Sterling, e-mailed Kristol to give him a piece of his mind. “I am a private person and don’t want him to run,” Sterling revealed in a missive that was somehow obtained by the AP. “I’d prefer not to listen to people like you talk bad about any member of my family.” He continued:
Maybe we should rename him the anti-you? Better work on these comebacks if you’re going to flip out over every pundit who criticizes your dad during the campaign.
