Watch Jon Stewart’s Spot-on Parody of Glenn Beck’s Farewell Address

Scrapping his traditional nightly monologue, Jon Stewart opened The Daily Show last night on a set that seemed eerily familiar. Yet at the same time, not at all Daily Show. It was quiet. Stewart sat on a lone stool, speaking softly. Two scribble-filled chalkboards in the far background. Oh. No. He. Didn’t. But he did! Stewart launched into a Glenn Beckian, nonsensical musing to mark Glenn Beck’s announcement that he’d leave Fox (whether he quit or was fired made no difference to some). He even donned Beck’s time-to-get-serious dark-rimmed glasses. “Tonight, America,” Stewart said, “I want you to open your ears, because … I am going to fuck them with the truth.”
