In Fact, a Volcano Erupted in Iceland Today, Causing 50 Earthquakes

We’re an hour past expected Rapture time, and, aside from a brief bout of rain, things don’t look too apocalypsey in New York just yet. But, in fact, something weird did happen today: Grimsvotn, Iceland’s most active volcano, erupted, shooting a white plume 18,000 feet into the air and causing 50 small earthquakes. So far, everyone’s fine: Tourists were excited to see the eruption, and scientists don’t believe it will even lead to air-travel problems like the Eyjafjallajokul volcano did in April 2010. But.
