Lockheed Martin Says Its Data Is Secure Following Cyber Attack

Last week, the computer system for Lockheed Martin, the world’s biggest military contractor and the Pentagon’s primary supplier, was reportedly hacked. Although the company says the unknown hackers did not seize any sensitive information, industry experts are “working feverishly” at the company’s Maryland headquarters to figure out who did it. The Pentagon is working with Lockheed to gauge the scope of the attack. That said, this is apparently old hat over there: “It’s a cat-and-mouse game between the two sides,” Eric Hutchins, a Lockheed cyber-intelligence analyst, told Reuters. “They’re constantly trying to develop new ways of attacking us and we’re constantly trying to develop new ways of defending us.” [Reuters]
