Indiana governor Mitch Daniels told supporters in an e-mail on Sunday that he will not run for president in 2012 after all, because of his family’s hesitations about it. Daniels, who was favored by much of the Republican establishment, explained: “I was able to resolve every competing consideration but one. The interests and wishes of my family, the most important consideration of all. If I have disappointed you, I will always be sorry.” Why was his family so reluctant? Allegedly because Daniels’s wife, Cheri Daniels, really, really, didn’t want to talk about the hiatus her marriage took in the nineties. Via Politico:
