MTV head Judy McGrath, the 30-year network veteran who championed shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, stepped down today. Mogulite alleges it’s no coincidence that McGrath left the same day as the premiere of a reality show — and pet project of Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone — about a scantily clad electro-pop band called Electric Barbarellas, especially seeing as McGrath almost quit over the same show last year.
