The New York Post is apparently in the business of reporting on the excruciating minutiae of the McCarren Park kickball league — so much so that they devoted 500 words to reporting on Sunday’s match, in which team Hot Mess was losing to Diddy’s White Party before the park’s field lights went dark. As Mess captain Randall “Not a Crook” Mixon explained, it was “overstrategizing” that killed them. “I’m pretty sure a large portion of it was indefensible — we overstrategized ourselves into one bad inning. Our team is cognizant of the fact of what happened.” But are they cognizant that they’re on a hipster kickball team?
