Woman Who Was Sent Briefs Shot From Anthony Weiner’s Twitter Account Speaks Out

Gennette Nicole Cordova, the recipient of one now-infamous shot of a penis in boxer briefs, has spoken out about the incident. In case you missed it: The photo was tweeted @ Cordova from Representative Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account; Weiner said his account was hacked; and Cordova, a 21-year-old journalism student in Seattle, deleted her Twitter account. Here’s what she has to say about the ordeal, in a Daily News piece that, at least, is a major get for a J-school student:

In any case, she’s pretty upset: “The last 36 hours have been the most confusing, anxiety-ridden hours of my life,” she writes. “My life has been seriously impacted by speculation and faulty allegations. This is the reality of sharing information online in the 21st century.” It sounds like she has a lot to say about politics and the Internet, and no matter what happens from here, even almost being part of a political scandal could be enough for a book deal. We smell a memoir. Dick Picked: The Gennette Nicole Cordova Story.
