Who’s your favorite New Yorker, living or dead, real or fictional?
I’ll take the easy way out and go with my mom. She convinced my father to raise a family in New York City, and for that I’m grateful. The suburbs terrify me — they’re too quiet. The sound of sirens at 4 a.m. puts me at ease.

What’s the best meal you’ve eaten in New York?
I had an amazing — and extremely expensive — dinner at Bouley a few months ago that I won’t soon forget. But the margherita pizza at Motorino always makes me incredibly happy, too.

In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
I sit at a desk glued to a computer. It’s more fun than it sounds, I swear.

What was your first job in New York?
I spent the summer between high school and college working at a clothing store on Columbus Avenue. It’s since been replaced by a Chase branch, just like every other corner of Manhattan.

What’s the last thing you saw on Broadway?
I saw The Book of Mormon a couple of weeks ago. It was the best thing I’ve seen on Broadway in years.

Do you give money to panhandlers?

What’s your drink?
Vodka soda, extra lime.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
Very rarely.

What’s your favorite medication?
Lunesta. It helps with the insomnia.

What’s hanging above your sofa?
Nothing at the moment. I moved recently and have yet to decorate. Okay, not that recently. It was four months ago. Thanks for reminding me.

How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
I pay a Russian guy in the East Village $12 for a cut every couple of weeks. Anything more than that is probably more than I’d be willing to spend.

When’s bedtime?
Way too late. That’s what the Lunesta is for.

Which do you prefer, the old Times Square or the new Times Square?

What do you think of Donald Trump?
He’s a despicable human being. I wouldn’t have said that a few months ago — I would have gone with something like “shameless attention addict” or “self-promoting blowhard” — but after his shenanigans on the fake campaign trail, I think it’s time for him to be officially exiled from NYC. Let him live out the rest of his days at his gaudy mansion in Palm Beach.

What do you hate most about living in New York?
Summer in the city. The smell of the city sidewalks in August has never been a favorite.

Who is your mortal enemy?
Enemies? I don’t have enemies, only future friends!

When’s the last time you drove a car?
Last month.

How has the Wall Street crash affected you?
It’s affected others a lot more than it has me, to be honest.

Times, Post, or Daily News?
All three. Plus a bunch of others. Newspapers will live forever.

Where do you go to be alone?
The bathroom.

What makes someone a New Yorker?
If you say you’re a New Yorker, then you’re a New Yorker. We welcome all here. Don’t we?
