Katie Couric and ABC will announce their new production deal as early as Monday, the Journal reports. In the terms, ABC will distribute the daily syndicated show but Couric will actually own it, so that she can make money more directly. ABC will get a cut of the distribution revenue and production fees. The show is set to launch, as expected, in fall 2012. In the meantime, ABC News will find some on-air role or other for Katie, because why let Diane Sawyer get too comfortable?
