You can’t tell from the photo, but the Jiaozhou Bay bridge, connecting the city of Qingdao to a nearby suburb and airport, stretches for 26.4 miles, which is nearly 2.6 miles longer than the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana. Of course, in 2016 China will eclipse its own record with an even longer 30-mile sea bridge. Congratulations, China. How great for you.
