Allegedly corrupt state assemblyman William Boyland was driving in his Brownsville district last night when multiple shots rang out and a bullet shattered his car’s back windshield, landing on his front seat. Neither Boyland nor his 7-year-old son, who was also in the car at the time, were hurt. Some area residents are upset with Boyland for recently waving and honking his horn at a roadside vigil for a dead 13-year-old girl instead of, you know, getting out of his car. Nevertheless, police don’t believe Boyland was specifically targeted last night.
