The man accused of kidnapping and drugging 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky before suffocating and dismembering him has been declared mentally competent to stand trial. Levi Aron pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn court today, despite having allegedly provided police with a confession. Last month, Aron’s lawyer, who has since resigned, said his client hallucinates and hears voices. Kings Country District Attorney Charles Hynes said today “there are absolutely no circumstances which would lead me to accept a plea bargain.” [CNN]
