Philadelphia’s new weekend curfew for minors is no joke: Cops took 50 juveniles who were out and about after 9 p.m. into custody last night. The curfew, which came about in response to a string of social-media-organized mob attacks, first offers rule-breaking minors a warning, and then up to $500 in fines for subsequent violations. It appears to be at least a minor success; the City of Brotherly Love was relatively trouble-free last night, one police spokesman said. [CNN]
