A Long Island woman has been arrested for assaulting a 12-year-old who told her to act like an adult. A fight between kids on Facebook spilled into real life with a planned rumble, and not only did 32-year-old Daphne Melin make “no effort to stop the fight,” but she actually drove her daughter there at the arranged time. Melin was allegedly “encouraging one of the girls to hurt and attack the other girl,” according to police, when another youngster in the crowd chimed in with some common sense and decency: “You shouldn’t be doing this. You should be breaking up the fight,” she said, before Melin threw her to the ground and kicked her in the head. Some adjustment in medication seems in order: either way more or way less.
