Dying Agency to Honor Living People

The Postal Service announced today that, for the first time ever, it’ll now be open to putting living people on its stamps. Previously, someone had to be dead for five years before their face could grace a stamp (with the exception of presidents, who are honored a year after their deaths). In an effort to stir up some excitement about mail, the USPS is calling for suggestions for which not-dead people should be honored. We will be legitimately shocked if Stephen Colbert doesn’t mobilize his viewers tonight. [WP]
