On Tuesday, a two-year investigation into allegations of ticket-fixing among NYPD officers is set to begin its transformation into what one source called “the biggest scandal this department has seen in a long time.” To kick things off, the Bronx D.A.’s office is expected to ask a grand jury to indict seventeen cops — including at least one lieutenant — on charges of perjury, bribery, and rewarding official misconduct.
